Mario Vilar leads Panama Pet Relocation with more than 20 years of experience in international transportation, logistics, and pet relocation. An engineer with an MBA from INCAE Business School—founded in 1964 with the support of Harvard Business School—Mario combines a strong business background with extensive hands-on international experience.
His international relocation experience began during his years at the Consulate of Panama in Houston, assisting foreign nationals and families relocating to Panama. This experience led him to establish Move to Panama and, as pet transportation became an increasing part of those relocations, eventually Panama Pet Relocation.
Today, Mario specializes in complex international pet movements, coordinating with airlines and specialized agents worldwide, navigating air cargo and customs procedures, and managing multi-country relocations from origin through destination.
His expertise extends beyond Panama through Planet Pet Relocation, a brand he also established as the international extension of Panama Pet Relocation, with a particular focus on Central America and worldwide pet movements through a network of specialized partners.
Karina Fay is Co-Founder of Panama Pet Relocation, overseeing the company’s day-to-day international pet relocation operations. She holds a Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University’s E. J. Ourso College of Business Administration, combining her business education with extensive operational experience.
Before entering the relocation industry, Karina worked with the Petroleum Technology Transfer Council (PTTC), a U.S. nonprofit supporting technology transfer in the energy industry. She later joined Move to Panama, assisting international families relocating to Panama.
Today, Karina coordinates complex international pet relocations, working with clients, veterinarians, airlines, customs agents, and specialized partners worldwide, overseeing operations from planning through arrival.
Through Planet Pet Relocation, she also manages complex pet movements from high-rabies-risk countries into the United States, coordinating specialized logistics, documentation, and entry procedures under U.S. CDC regulations.
